Suvendu "Du" Pal

Mr. Pal has over 17 years of experience in financial management and financial and strategic planning. Mr. Pal was Vice President of Finance at Sallie Mae and played key roles as an employee and consultant in the attempted leveraged buyout of the company, assessing and executing on various M&A and strategic opportunities, as well as the eventual spin-off of Navient Corporation. He began his career in finance as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers providing advisory services to distressed clients pursuing financial recovery through turnaround strategies and bankruptcy filings. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Pal also has served in a variety of financial management and planning roles at Morgan Stanley Japan, State Street Bank and Adero, a content redistribution technology start-up. He is the founder of and a Principal Consultant at Modero Consulting, a corporate financial advisory firm focused on assisting clients through financial growth and restructuring.

Michael Sheehan

Mr. Sheehan has over 27 years of legal experience in complex corporate transactions. He worked as an attorney at Venable LLP and subsequently became General Counsel of financial services provider Sallie Mae. Mr. Sheehan has extensive experience with mergers & acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, structured finance, a full range of securities filings, spin-offs, sale-leasebacks, leveraged leases, commercial real estate transactions, procurement/contract management and compliance.

Mr. Sheehan successfully managed Sallie Mae’s GSE wind-down with limited staff and minimal assistance from outside resources completing the transaction 4 years ahead of schedule and under budget.
